Hey guys! I am finally feeling normal today after the Holiday weekend! We spent the 4th at Folsom Lake and had the best time relaxing in the boat all day, it was wonderful:). Yesterday was all about catching up on emails and planning a few really exciting projects that I have coming up. It is always a struggle to get back to the grind after a long weekend. What I have found helps me get back to work is to wake up early, make a coffee, and dedicate 20 minutes to a to-do list for the week. It keeps me in check and motivated so that nothing slips through the cracks while being away from work for a few days!
Laced Up
I know it’s summer and all-black isn’t what a lot of people think to reach for.. but I always feel the most “me” in an all-black look. I love switching up my look depending on my mood. Sometimes I want to feel extra girly so I throw on some white lace, other days I want to wear a high fashion look I saw on the runway. Some days I’m super laid back and boho, and sometimes my edgier side comes out and I throw on some OTK lace-up boots. I don’t think you should ever have to label yourself as one style.
Peach Pleats
I wore this top on Snapchat a couple weeks ago and got so many messages asking where I got it. It has definitely been my go-to top lately because it’s perfect for so many different occasions. I’ll have to admit, at first I wasn’t sure how I felt about the sleeves being detached, but have realized that it’s actually genius! I have always loved off the shoulder tops and love that they are having their “moment” in the fashion scene right now. The one thing that turns me off about most OTS tops is that if you raise your arms the sleeves will come up onto the shoulders. Anyone else have this issue? Well this top totally eliminates that! Plus I can also wear the top without the sleeves for a completely different look. It’s really 2 shirts in one, and I can appreciate that. The back is also SO CUTE. You guys know how much I love a good back, and the slit on the back of this top is so cute for summer days. It pairs perfectly with my peach cross body bag from Violet Ray. And yes, I do have the exact same Violet Ray bag in 2 colors – sue me.
Classic Silhouette
Good morning! It is officially Christmas week and I couldn’t be more excited!! I am back in Colorado for the holidays and all of the snow is putting me in the best mood! I love being bundled up inside, next to a fireplace, with twinkling lights and being surrounded by friends and family. There is no place I’d rather be!
This is the perfect holiday party look. It has an old hollywood appeal and is timelessly elegant.
