Hostessing with RewardStyle
RewardStyle is known for throwing incredible events, so when I heard they were coming to San Francisco I knew I had to be there. The event was held a couple weeks ago and this one in particular was a Hostessing Workshop with flower arranging, tablescape design and wine and cheese pairings all on the agenda! I attended the event with one of my favorite blogger babes, Erika of Whiskey & Lace, who not only has the cutest blog but also works as the Northern California sales rep for Roxy. #BossBabe
Alright, alright. I know I’m finally getting around to spilling the deets on this dress I wore! I honestly couldn’t be more obsessed with it. It is the perfect mix between casual & dressy, so it works for any occasion. It is so intricate and has the daintiest details. I mean, swoon.
I literally have to make a conscious effort to not wear this hat these days. I can’t help it, it just goes with everything and completes almost any outfit. It has also been my saving grace over the last few weeks as we have had tornado-like wind in the city. Everyone’s hair gets a little cray cray the second you step out into the wind here, so I always have a hat on hand to keep me looking polished and not too windblown once I arrive at an event!
I added this pretty little bag from Rebecca Minkoff to my collection a couple of weeks ago and haven’t gone a day without it. It’s the perfect day-to-day bag and fits all of the essentials. Black & Gold is known to be my favorite combo, so it’s kind of a given that this purse would make its’ way into my life.
After wandering the streets of San Francisco, we made our way to the event that was hosted by The Cheese School of San Francisco. To be honest they had me at cheese. And the fact there was also wine made it that much sweeter.
The décor was a complete dream and gave me major inspiration for furnishing my own outdoor space.
To kick off the event we learned all about cheese + wine pairings from a local cheese connoisseur. We learned the best times to serve certain cheeses, and how pairing with wine can actually enhance the flavor of the different cheeses. The following are pairings we enjoyed and ones that I would recommend to entertain your guests with.
My personal favorite was the Rose and Goat Cheese pairing. When you pair the cheeses, leave a tiny bit in your mouth and then take a sip of the wine. You will be blown away by how much the flavor is enhanced!
The last portion of the event was learning how to make the most stunning flower arrangements. We were lucky enough to be taught by Lila B Design, the master florists in the San Francisco Mission District. It was a great reminder that sometimes simple can be more.
Once the two workshops were finished we all got to catch up and mingle in the courtyard where I got to chat with a bunch of blogger babes. Including the beautiful Ariana Lauren from Fashion Born and the girl who is the definition of #momgoals, Latisha Springer from The Girl in the Yellow Dress.
RewardStyle put on an incredible event and I am already counting down the days until the next one. Thank you guys so much for reading and coming along with me to this stunning event.
Also a huge thank you goes out to my friend and favorite photographer on the planet, Andrea Lowry, who is responsible for all of the beautiful imagery seen in this post.
Have a fabulous day! Grab a couple girlfriends for happy hour and spoil yourself with wine and fine cheeses.
