There isn’t much I love more than a good statement jacket, and this one is just that. Its’ subtle peplum detail and emphasized shoulders make for a bold, yet sophisticated look. Both the jacket and the booties are from Windsor and have become staples in my closet. I brought in some gold details with the purse and sunglasses for contrast and to add some luxury.

My obsession with Brandy Melville started a couple of years ago when I discovered it in San Diego. They don’t have a store in Colorado, so I stocked up and pretty much ended up buying the whole store. If you haven’t been in.. you need to. They have the most comfy basics. It is one of those stores that I know I can go in and find my new favorite shirt to throw on when I’m feeling lazy and just want to be comfortable. They are just so cozy and their prices are even better. It has been raining pretty much every day here in SF, so this weekend all I want to do is stay inside and cuddle in bed. Hence the casual Friday outfit that never happens.
My boyfriend and I made a quick day trip out to Long Beach for my friends wedding this weekend. She looked so incredibly beautiful and I couldn’t be happier to have spent my Saturday celebrating the undeniable love they have for each other! The venue was stunning and I got to catch up with some of my closest college friends whom I haven’t seen in years. We literally danced the night away and had the best time getting together to celebrate the lovely new Mr. and Mrs.
You know when you walk into a store because you see an item in the window and it’s like you all of a sudden know the meaning of love at first site? That was this cape for me. It is one of those pieces that screams editorial but is functional enough to wear in real life. I paired it with my favorite booties at the moment, a chic envelope satchel and my larger than life Linda Farrow sunnies.
