Movie Night with Chloe

There is nothing I love more than when the temperatures start to drop and we start opting for cozy nights in around the holidays. It is so easy to make a regular movie night at home feel extra special by creating the right ambiance and pouring a glass or two of your favorite wine. We always have a stock of our favorite Chloe Wines for date night, and we have been especially loving their newest varietal, Chloe Merlot, this time of year. The grapes are grown exclusively from the San Lucas Estate Vineyard in Monterey County California, one of our favorite vacation spots, which makes the wine extra special to us. It is a more full-bodied Merlot filled with abundant and well-balanced flavors of fresh picked blackberries, black cherry and ripe plum with notes of vanilla, mocha and spice. Just add some dark chocolate and a big bowl of popcorn, and I swear you’ll be cherishing the sweet memories you are able to create at home with friends or loved ones.

Golden Hour with Rachel Allan

Last week I had the opportunity to not only work with one of my favorite designers, Rachel Allan, but also work with one of my all-time favorite photographers, Liz Franco, in one of my favorite places. It was a sunny day in San Francisco during our unusual heat wave and we had the most incredible golden lighting over the Pacific Ocean. The delicate, airy sleeves, low back and beaded details make this one of the most incredible gowns i’ve ever worn. I love this gown as an alternative wedding dress, prom dress or for engagement photos. The incredible floral arrangement is by the cute little flower shop on my street, Le Bouquet. This day and this gown was an absolute dream.

Falling for Morning Lavender

Happy Friday, babes! I have always had an obsession with statement jackets, so as soon as the leaves and temps start to drop – I invest in a few new layering pieces for the Fall season. I saw this jacket from Morning Lavender and immediately knew I had to have it! It is very similar to the black one I wore over and over again last Fall, (remember this outfit and this outfit?) so I knew I would get so much wear out of it! I love it in this updated taupe shade that makes even more of a statement.

Faux Leather and a Cabby Hat

Good Morning and Happy Monday guys! Today’s post is all about trying new things and why I think you should be doing it constantly! Most of my favorite clothing items and accessories are ones that I thought I would never be able to wear. Case in point: hats. I have always loved the way a hat could bring a look together, but thought I would feel so weird actually wearing one out in public. It felt so awkward the first few times wearing it, but fast forward 4 years and I rarely go a day without one. The point I am trying to make is, you’ll never know if something will work for you unless YOU go try it!! If you think one of the trends isn’t for you, like a cabby hat or round sunnies, I urge you to try it anyways! Trying new things allows you to learn new things about yourself.
