We are in full-swing for Wedding Season and one of the questions we ask ourselves most is “What do I wear to a wedding?!” When I select an outfit for the occasion I take a few things into consideration:

Where is the venue?

Is it a daytime or evening wedding?

How well do I know the couple?

Typically these 3 questions help to narrow down the options and make the guessing game a little easier. After attending 10 weddings last year, I quickly realized it is also important to pick out an outfit that I can wear again in the future for different occasions. I was recently asked what to wear to a black-tie, destination wedding and thought it would be helpful to put some of my advice into a post for reference. For a black-tie wedding, you want to look elegant, but never want to upstage the bride with something too flashy or intricate. In this case I typically go for a classic silhouette, a statement piece of jewelry, and natural-glowing makeup (I’ve been using Temptu Airbrush Makeup for events recently – more on that below!). I’m not going to lie, when I saw this dress from Ever-Pretty it reminded me of the iconic dress Julia Roberts wore in the movie “Pretty Woman” and who doesn’t want to live out that moment? And I honestly don’t think you will believe me when I say the dress is under $100.. but it is. This Summer I have been more and more drawn to a more natural, glowing makeup routine that fakes “flawless” skin. I have always heard great things about airbrush makeup and have no idea why it took me so long to try it. I always hear about the brand Temptu in makeup tutorials, so I decided I needed to see what the hype was about. I started using Temptu a little over a month ago and i’ve been hooked ever since. I love that the airbrush foundation has buildable coverage, so you can go from a super natural look to a completely flawless complexion in just seconds. The biggest difference for me? The foundation goes on so light that it covers blemishes without getting packed into any wrinkles you may have. It really does give you the most flawless, youthful appearance.

I pair the airbrush foundation with airbrush blush and highlighter to maintain a dewy complexion. My advise – try the blush on your hand first! A tiny bit of product goes a long way. The highlighter however – you can have the heaviest hand when applying this product. The more highlighter the better in my mind. I spray it on the high points of my face, shoulders, collarbone – literally if I could just bathe in it, I would. I always finish the look with a tiny bit of powder bronzer for contour and to set the product, but only a minimal amount because I want to keep the look as dewy as possible!
