How to Host an Upscale Award Show Viewing Party with Chloe Wine Collection
LIGHTS. CAMERA. ACTION.
I’ll be the first to admit that I haven’t seen a movie at an actual theatre in months, but I’ll always be the first one to gather around the tv to watch my favorite movie stars strut the red carpet in their couture gowns during award season.
7 Steps to Hosting an Award Show Viewing Party:
- DRINKS. I love Chloe Wine Collection for a black-tie affair because it is sophisticated and pleases a multitude of palettes. For this particular theme I went with the Chloe Wine Collection Pinot Grigio, which is a timeless varietal hailing from the cool Northern Italian Valdadige D.O.C.. With notes of juicy white peach, soft melon, crisp apple and floral honeysuckle, the Pinot Grigio is always a crowd favorite and sets the tone for an elevated evening.
- INVITES. Sure, a text might suffice, but nothing says “sophisticated affair” quite like receiving an actual invite in the mail. Let your guests know to dress to the nines in their gowns and suits, as there will be an award given out to the best dressed guest!
- DECOR. Roll out the red carpet (this can be literal!), blow up the balloons and sprinkle the gold stars because it is okay to be over the top for an Award Show Viewing party!
- SNACKS. Stay consistent with the movie theme and make a display of popular movie snacks, ie. popcorn, licorice, and chocolate! I also put out a charcuterie board and dessert spread for people to snack on throughout the evening.
- PHOTO STATION: Do it for the ‘gram and create a photo opp for your guests! This can be as easy as a gold wall streamer with various award signs to hold!
- AWARD CEREMONY. Make a ballot for your guests with awards such as: Best Dressed (him and her), Best Manicure, Best Hairstyle, etc. Have your guests fill out their ballots and announce the winners at the end of the evening or during commercial breaks. Bonus points if you give out actual prizes for winning!
- SWAG BAG. A party favor is a nice gesture and says thank you to your guests for spending their evenings with you. I would stick with the movie theme and throw in fancy nail polishes for the ladies and a bow-tie for the gentlemen!
